Established in 1898 Yarra Yarra is one of Melbourne’s most prestigious golf clubs, boasting an immaculately presented golf course and heritage listed Clubhouse.
Yarra Yarra is one of the eight Melbourne Sandbelt golf courses, which collectively possess a worldwide reputation among golfers as being on the ‘must play’ list. The course is accompanied by a driving range, putting green and short-game area that will satisfy even the most serious golfers.
The Mediterranean-inspired clubhouse features vast terraces, classic internal architecture and beautifully appointed meeting and function rooms… all within thirty minutes of Melbourne’s CBD.
Yarra Yarra is a vibrant club with a passion for golf and its history.
The architect of this renowned Sandbelt course was Alex Russell who, in 1926, formed a partnership with the famed Dr Alister MacKenzie during his visit to Australia. Today, the course remains substantially the same as the original layout and like all great golf courses, has stood the test of time.
During your visit you will have a unique golfing experience. Here you can walk in the footsteps of some of golf’s major championship winners including Walter Hagen, Sam Snead, Bobby Locke, Gary Player, Peter Thomson, Kel Nagle, Johnny Miller, Tony Jacklin, Lee Trevino, David Graham, Greg Norman, Ian Baker-Finch, Geoff Ogilvy, Babe Didrickson, Jan Stephenson, Laura Davies, Karrie Webb and Annika Sorenstam. It makes our course and indeed membership of this Club as special today as it ever was.
