The only course in Gippsland to crack a spot in the Top 100 Public Access Courses coming in at #65 in 2017, this is a must play course to add to your list.
Leongatha Golf Club is a classic Vern Morcom design that is a hidden treasure in Victoria’s South Gippsland region. It is a scenic layout that covers terrain from hilly to gently rolling with wide santa-ana couch fairways flanked by natural bushland. Elevated and undulating bent grass greens encourage imaginative play to successfully navigate each hole. All bunkers were reconstructed in 2014 and offer challenging depths yet with consistent sand to play from. A fair challenge for all levels of player.
Designed by Vern Morcom and first opened for play in 1960. The Club moved from their original 9 hole course in Leongatha which opened in 1909 in order to establish the 18 hole course.
