The outward eight holes at The Links is set in the valley leading towards the natural wetlands. A very picturesque outward side which is all viewable from the tavern.
The inward 10 holes wraps around the hill to the east which helps to protect them from the strong winter westerlies. As you work your way around this side, enjoy the views (but try to avoid!) the Killalea Lagoon.
When the southerly or north east wind blows on this course there is nowhere to hide, and if you venture out in the breeze you will certainly know your alive on this beautifully undulating links style course!
A few holes of note which really make playing the Links exciting are some of the shortest, in particular the drivable par 4’s hole 7 and 15, both of which play under 300m but offer the element of risk vs reward.
These are complemented by demanding par 3’s in holes 2, 3 and 14, whilst we firmly believe hole 18 is one of the best finishing holes in Australian golf! With the level of difficulty of this hole greatly impacted by the daily conditions, this par 5 finishing hole gives you the opportunity to really finish well. Very exciting for our championship events when an eagle or birdie is certainly up for grabs and a tournament can be won or snatched away from you.
We know you will enjoy Links Shell Cove golf - see you soon!
